Lawrence Alcairo
Lawrence is a public servant that's participated in leadership programs by LeaderShape Institute, American Cancer Society, and the US Departments of Homeland Security, State, and Interior. Lawrence’s public service career began with his time as Speaker of the 30th Guam Youth Congress.
Lawrence has worked in the Guam Legislature and Governor's Office and served on the Guam Education Board, the Guam Academy Charter School Council, the Advisory Council on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, and the 2016 FestPac Committee.
As a first-generation college student, Lawrence received the Robert C. Byrd Honors scholarship, the Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarship, and a University of Guam (UOG) Merit Scholarship. Lawrence earned Bachelors of Science in Biology (Bio-Medical Concentration) and Chemistry (Pre-Pharmacy Track) and a certificate in Health Services Administration from UOG. Lawrence serves as a volunteer voter registrar and is writing a book on sustainability using place-based learning for Guam’s school children.
