John is currently a Program Officer at the Wildlife Conservation Society Papua New Guinea (WCSPNG). He is also the Founder and Director of Operations at the Papua New Guinea Rural Development Inc (PNGRDI). 

He is an Active Youth Fellow with the National Democratic Institute Taiwan and a Young Pacific Leader Member of Youth Empowerment in Climate Action (YECAP) Asia-Pacific. John studied a Bachelor of Arts in PNG Studies and International Relations, graduating in 2020. He was part of the Pacific Leadership Fisheries Program with the University of Queensland (virtually). He also stood for Jimi Open in the 11th Parliament Elections in 2022, coming 16th out of 32 candidates. 

John’s interest is to connect rural people and their issues with key stakeholders so they can be on the same phase in any development agenda. This includes both internal and external stakeholders and connections using soft diplomacy skills.
