Jessica is an Australian student and recipient of a New Colombo Plan Scholarship and named the 2021 Fiji Fellow. She was previously living in Suva undertaking language training and interning with Leadership Fiji, which aims to assist Fiji’s emerging leaders cope with demands of the ever-changing world so that Fiji reaches its full potential.  

Jess has a passion for gender equality and women's empowerment. She has a strong interest in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically in raising the number of women in leadership positions. 

She is also a 2022 New Colombo Plan Alumni Ambassador where she promotes the NCP and the value of Indo-Pacific study, supporting future cohorts of NCP Scholars and mobility participants across Australia. In 2020 she was an Australian Youth Delegate at the APEC Voices of the Future Conference, Indo-Pacific Student Mobility Youth Dialogue and the Korea-Oceania Next Generation Research Forum. Jess looks forward to future youth engagement in the Pacific-Australia region.
