Wednesday 26 November – Day 1

  • 10:05am – Flight departs Brisbane (Qantas)

  • 2:15pm – Flight arrives in Honiara

  • 2:30pm – Meet & Greet by PAYA Honiara Team at airport (SIM cards distributed)

  • 3:00pm – Airport transfer to accommodation

  • 4:00pm – Hotel check-in

  • 6:30pm – 8:30pm – Welcome Dinner & Orientation

    • Introduction to PAYA and the Summit

    • Cultural performance by local youth group

    • Solomon Islands welcome and brief on local customs and safety

Thursday 27 November – Day 2

  • 7:00am – 8:00am – Breakfast

  • 8:30am – 9:30am – Opening Ceremony

    • Prayer, welcome speeches, cultural dances

  • 9:30am – 10:30am – Team-building games facilitated by local youth leaders

  • 10:30am – 10:45am – Morning Tea

  • 10:45am – 12:15pm – Introduction to Solomon Islands: History, Culture, and Governance (local guest speaker or historian)

  • 12:15pm – 1:15pm – Lunch (local catering featuring traditional food)

  • 1:15pm – 2:00pm – Pijin Language Basics: Interactive session with young language ambassadors

  • 2:00pm – 3:30pm – Group Projects: Introductions and Planning Workshop

  • 3:30pm – 4:30pm – Visit to National Museum and Art Haus

  • 4:30pm – Return to accommodation

  • 6:00pm – Dinner and Tok Tok

Friday 28 November – Day 3

  • 7:00am – 8:00am – Breakfast

  • 8:30am – 10:30am – Climate & Ocean Workshop led by local environmental NGO

  • 10:30am – 11:00am – Morning Tea

  • 11:00am – 12:30pm – Community Outreach Activity (e.g. mangrove planting, village clean-up)

  • 12:30pm – 1:30pm – Picnic Lunch in the village or coastal community

  • 1:30pm – 2:30pm – Intergenerational Dialogue: Youth & Elders on traditional knowledge and leadership

  • 2:30pm – 4:00pm – Group Projects: Development and Mentoring Session

  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm – Visit to Women’s Craft Cooperative or Youth-Led Social Enterprise

  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm – Free Time

  • 6:30pm – Dinner (hosted by local community or traditional cooking demo)

Saturday 29 November – Day 4

  • 7:00am – 8:00am – Breakfast

  • 8:30am – 10:00am – Workshop: Youth Entrepreneurship in the Solomons

  • 10:00am – 10:30am – Morning Tea

  • 10:30am – 12:00pm – Panel: Youth Wellbeing and Mental Health (with local health professionals and lived experience advocates)

  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm – Lunch

  • 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Finalise and rehearse Group Project Presentations

  • 3:00pm – 4:30pm – Present Projects to local stakeholders and community guests

  • 4:30pm – 5:30pm – Change into traditional dress or formal attire

  • 5:30pm – 7:30pm – Closing Dinner & Cultural Showcase

    • Certificates and speeches

    • Final cultural performances by participants and local groups

Sunday 30 November – Day 5

  • 7:30am – 8:30am – Breakfast

  • 9:00am – 12:00pm – Church Service with local congregation

  • 12pm – 1:00pm – Free lunch

  • 1:00pm – Airport transfer

  • 3:15pm – Flight departs Honiara

  • 5:25pm – Flight arrives in Brisbane
