Individual Delegate Sponsorship

PAYA understands that attending an international leadership program can represent a significant financial commitment, particularly for young people from across the Pacific.

While the Pacific-Australia Youth Association Inc. (PAYA) does not provide individual delegate sponsorships, we actively encourage selected delegates to seek financial support from organisations within their own networks. This may include employers, government agencies, schools, universities, community organisations, churches, businesses, foundations, service clubs, or other supporters who share an interest in youth leadership and regional engagement.

Over the years, many delegates have successfully secured full or partial sponsorship from local organisations to support their participation in the Youth Leadership Summit, including to cover both the registration fee and international travel costs.

What Can Sponsorship Cover?

Sponsors may choose to support delegates by contributing towards:

  • International flights

  • Summit registration fees

  • Travel insurance

  • Passport and visa costs

  • Transit accommodation

  • Additional accommodation before or after the Summit

  • Meals and incidental travel expenses

  • Professional development funding

Sponsors may provide full funding or contribute towards only part of the overall cost.

How PAYA Can Support Your Sponsorship Requests

To assist nominated young leaders in their fundraising efforts, PAYA has developed a range of resources that can be used when approaching potential sponsors.

Delegate Sponsorship Letter Template

A professional and editable letter template that can be personalised and sent to prospective sponsors, employers, government departments, schools, universities, community groups, businesses, and philanthropic organisations.

Delegate Sponsorship Information Pack

A summary document containing key information about the Youth Leadership Summit Tahiti 2026, including program details, delegate benefits, Summit objectives, registration inclusions, and the impact of previous Youth Leadership Summits.

Tips for Seeking Sponsorship

When approaching a potential sponsor, consider explaining:

  • Why you are interested in attending the Youth Leadership Summit;

  • How participation will benefit your personal and professional development;

  • How the experience will contribute to your community, organisation, school, workplace, or country;

  • What level of support you are seeking;

  • How you will acknowledge and recognise their support.

Many organisations are more likely to provide support when they can clearly see the benefits and outcomes that participation will create.

Need Additional Support?

Nominated young leaders who require additional documentation to support sponsorship applications may contact PAYA.

Depending on the circumstances, PAYA may be able to provide:

  • Letters confirming nomination or delegation selection;

  • Registration invoices and receipts;

  • Event information and program summaries;

  • Confirmation of participation;

  • Supporting information about PAYA and the Youth Leadership Summit.

Please note that PAYA cannot guarantee sponsorship outcomes and is unable to approach sponsors on behalf of nominees or delegates.

We encourage nominated young leaders to begin sponsorship discussions as early as possible following their selection to maximise their chances of securing support.
