FLIGHTS

Solomon Airlines and Qantas operate commercial flights to Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands.

Direct flights to Honiara are available from:

  • Brisbane (operated by Qantas and Solomon Airlines)

  • Port Vila (Vanuatu) and Nadi (Fiji) via Solomon Airlines

  • Auckland (New Zealand) via Solomon Airlines

For the Youth Leadership Summit 2025, delegates are required to arrive in Honiara on Wednesday 26 November and depart on Sunday 30 November.

Delegates are strongly advised to book the following Qantas flights for ease of coordination:

  • Qantas flight from Brisbane to Honiara – Wednesday 26 November 2025

  • Qantas flight from Honiara to Brisbane – Sunday 30 November 2025

The registration fee includes 4 nights of twin-share accommodation from Wednesday 26 November to Sunday 30 November 2025.

Please note: international delegates are responsible for booking their own return flights, travel insurance, and any additional expenses such as visa processing or transit accommodation if required.

SUMMIT ACCOMMODATION

During the Summit you will be accommodated at the Heritage Park Hotel in a twin share room with another participant of the same sex. The room will have two single beds (different to what is pictured below).

Your Summit registration fee includes accommodation from Wednesday 26th November to Sunday 30th November, however, if you wish to extend your stay, please contact the Heritage Park Hotel directly to book additional nights.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

As a travel obligation for all international visitors to Solomon Islands and a requirement of the Pacific-Australia Youth Association Inc’s Terms and Conditions, you are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. For Australian citizens and residents, Australia Post and Allianz Insurance offer travel insurance options.

Travel insurance is mandatory for Solomon Islands and needs to cover all medical and hospitalisation expenses, including repatriation costs and medical evacuation. You may need to present your travel insurance certificate when departing for and arriving in Solomon Islands.

VISAS

PAYA Inc. is unable to provide advice on visas for travel to Solomon Islands. Please email immdir@commerce.gov.sb to enquire about the visa requirements for your country of origin.

If you are flying from a Pacific island country you may be required to transit through Australia, New Zealand or Fiji overnight. Please note that you are responsible for organising your transit visa and own transit accommodation if required.
