Tekarohi Dexter
Tekarohi grew up on the island of Tahiti. After graduating in 2017 with her Bachelor's degree from La Mennais High School, she pursued her passion for dance by dedicating an entire year to practising "Ori Tahiti" with the Pupu Ori Hei Tahiti dance troupe led by Tiare Trompette.
In 2019, she was accepted to study the Hospitality and Tourism Management, Psychology and Pacific Civilization Studies program at Brigham Young University in Hawaii. Returning to Tahiti during the pandemic in September 2021, she joined the Ministry of Tourism and Labour's office in charge of international transport and relations with institutions for an internship.
Currently, in Hawaii, Tekarohi is the President of the Tahiti Club and is also the Vice President of the Avenir Étudiant-FAGE Association. In June 2022, she was a panellist at the Pacific-Australia Youth Association’s webinar on ‘Youth Perspectives from Tahiti’.
