Emily Papa is 24 years old and comes from a district called Mul-Baiyer Lumusa in the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. She recently graduated with a Bachelor in Law Degree at the University of Papua New Guinea and has also been accepted to study at the Legal Training Institute in 2023.

Her passion in life is to be an advocate and help those who cannot speak for themselves. Her interest lies in the human rights field, including youth empowerment, gender equality, prevention, reporting, education and awareness on all forms of violence against human beings and to be a better agent of change.

Emily’s favourite quote is from Mother Teresa: “Not all of us can do great things, but all of us can do small things with great love”.
