Terms and Conditions for Local Delegates (Solomon Islands)

1. Eligibility
To be eligible to attend the Youth Leadership Summit Honiara 2025 as a local delegate, applicants must:

  • Be aged between 18 and 35 years;

  • Reside in Solomon Islands;

  • Be a current Ordinary Member of the Pacific-Australia Youth Association Inc. (PAYA);

  • Apply through the official nomination and application process when local applications open;

  • Receive and accept a formal offer of participation issued by PAYA.

2. Participation and Inclusions
Local delegates accepted into the Summit will be provided with:

  • Full access to all Summit activities and sessions;

  • Summit materials and program participation;

  • Lunches and dinners during the Summit;

  • Private bus transport between program venues and activities.

Please note: accommodation and transport to and from the central meeting point in Honiara is not included. Any such arrangements are the responsibility of the local delegate unless otherwise specified.

3. Attendance and Code of Conduct
Local delegates are required to:

  • Attend all days of the Summit and participate actively in workshops, discussions, and activities;

  • Conduct themselves with respect, integrity, and cultural sensitivity;

  • Abide by PAYA’s Code of Conduct and cooperate with instructions provided by the organisers.

PAYA reserves the right to withdraw participation for any delegate who breaches these expectations.

4. Communication and Notification
If a local delegate is unable to attend after confirming their place, they must notify the Summit Manager as soon as possible. Repeated failure to attend confirmed PAYA events may affect eligibility for future programs.

5. Health, Safety and Medical Information
Local delegates must inform PAYA of any relevant health or access needs prior to the event. While PAYA will do its best to accommodate requests, some services may be limited. Delegates are responsible for managing their personal wellbeing.

6. Media and Consent
By attending the Summit, delegates grant PAYA permission to use photographs, video recordings, and quotes taken during the Summit for promotional or reporting purposes. Delegates may opt out of media use by providing written notice before the event.

7. Legal Disclaimer
PAYA is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the Summit. Delegates are expected to exercise reasonable care and judgment at all times.
